Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior SAP HANA Security Consultant with 8+ years of experience to design, implement, and support security for SAP S/4HANA and HANA database environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• SECURITY DESIGN: Define and implement role-based access control, privileges, and authorization concepts for SAP HANA and S/4HANA

• HANA DB Security: Configure HANA users, roles, analytic privileges, system privileges, object privileges, and schema-level security

• S/4HANA Security: Design and maintain Fiori catalogs, groups, app-level authorizations, PFCG roles, and SU24 proposals

• Authentication & SSO: Set up SAML, X.509, Kerberos, and integrate with SAP Cloud Identity, Azure AD, or other IdPs

• Audit & Compliance: Implement audit logging, configure HANA audit policies, manage SoD checks using GRC AC, and support SOX/internal audits

• User Administration: Manage user provisioning, role assignments, FFID usage, and emergency access for HANA DB and S/4HANA systems

• Code Security: Review CDS view security, analytic privileges, and secure HDI container access in XSA/BTP

• Transport & Cutover: Handle security transports, compare roles across systems, and support security cutover during go-live

• Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot authorization failures, trace ST01/SU53/SUIM, analyze HANA trace files, and resolve production issues

• Upgrades & Migrations: Support security activities for S/4HANA conversions, system refreshes, and HANA revision upgrades

• Documentation: Prepare security design documents, role matrix, SoD ruleset, and user access SOPs

• Advisory: Guide functional and technical teams on SAP security best practices and least privilege principles

Required Skills & Experience:

• EXPERIENCE: 8+ years in SAP Security with minimum 3 years focused on HANA DB and S/4HANA security

• TECHNICAL: Expert in HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit, HDBSQL, PFCG, SU24, ST01, STAUTHTRACE, and GRC Access Control

• KNOWLEDGE: Strong understanding of HANA repository roles, SQL privileges, analytic privileges, and schema security

• FIORI SECURITY: Hands-on with Fiori Launchpad designer, target mapping, OData service authorizations, and IWSG/IWFND

• COMPLIANCE: Experience with SoD risk analysis, mitigation controls, and audit reporting

• TOOLS: SAP GRC AC 12.0, Solution Manager, SAP IAS, and ticketing tools like ServiceNow

• INTEGRATION: Knowledge of BTP security, HANA Cloud, and connectivity to non-SAP systems

• COMMUNICATION: Ability to run workshops, present to stakeholders, and mentor junior team members

PREFERRED:

• Certification: SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA or SAP

• Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA System Security

• Exposure: Central Finance, MDG, EWM, or TM security concepts

• Other: Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, CALM, or automated role testing tools
