Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP MRO Functional Specialist to lead the design, delivery, and support of our core enterprise asset management and overhaul processes. In this role, you will bridge the gap between heavy industrial maintenance operations and cutting-edge SAP technology (S/4HANA). You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex engineering, induction, and overhaul requirements into scalable, best-practice SAP configurations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SOLUTION DESIGN & CONFIGURATION:

• Lead requirements gathering workshops and blueprinting phases to map end-to-end MRO business processes to standard SAP capabilities.

• Configure core SAP modules supporting MRO execution, specifically focusing on SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), SAP CS (Customer Service), and specialized iMRO add-ons.

• Manage master data architectures specific to heavy assets, including Equipment Masters, Functional Locations, serialized assemblies, and As-Allowed vs. As-Maintained configuration structures.

• Configure critical processes like component induction/inspection, work scoping, scheduling, execution tracking, and complex asset component refurbishments.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION:

• Ensure seamless data flow and process alignment between SAP MRO and surrounding modules, notably MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), PS (Project Systems), SD (Sales & Distribution), and FI/CO (Finance & Controlling).

• Design and implement complex industry supply chain flows, such as subcontractor repair loops, rotable management, and spare parts optimization.

IMPLEMENTATION & TECHNICAL COLLABORATION:

• Author clear Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and business process blueprints.

• Collaborate closely with ABAP development teams to build, test, and troubleshoot custom WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects.

• Guide the data conversion team on complex legacy data extractions for maintenance plans, history, and active work backlogs.

TESTING & CHANGE MANAGEMENT:

• Develop comprehensive test plans, unit tests, and integration test scripts.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), analyze system performance data, and systematically isolate root causes of defects.

• Lead train-the-trainer workshops and build end-user training manuals to ensure high system adoption rates across production or hangar floors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

TECHNICAL & DOMAIN EXPERTISE:

• Experience: Minimum of 8-9 years of hands-on experience in SAP PM/CS/MRO implementations. At least one end-to-end implementation lifecycle on an S/4HANA platform is highly preferred.

• Industry Focus: Strong background in capital-intensive industries with strict compliance metrics (e.g., Aerospace & Defense, Airlines)

• Core Modules: Deep, proven configuration capability in SAP PM (Maintenance Processing, Orders, Plans, Task Lists) and SAP CS (Service Orders, Repair procedures).

• Advanced MRO Concepts: Demonstrated familiarity with configuration control, modification tracking, or maintenance program engines.
