Job Description:

• We are seeking a Techno-Functional Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) Consultant with strong functional knowledge of retail merchandising processes and hands-on technical expertise in Oracle Retail applications. The role involves requirement analysis, system configuration, integrations, production support, and collaboration with business and technical teams to ensure smooth retail operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and analyze retail business processes including:

• Item and supplier management

• Purchase orders and allocations

• Pricing, promotions, and cost management

• Inventory management and stock ledger

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

• Configure Oracle RMS modules to meet business needs.

• Support end-to-end business flows across RMS and integrated Oracle Retail applications (ReSA, RPM, SIM, RWMS, ORDS, etc.).

• Perform functional testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.

• Provide production support, root cause analysis, and issue resolution within SLA.

• Prepare user guides, functional documents, and training materials.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Oracle RMS database objects such as tables, views, packages, and procedures.

• Develop and review PL/SQL code for reports, data fixes, and interfaces.

• Handle batch jobs, schedulers, and monitoring (RMS batch framework).

SUPPORT INTEGRATIONS USING:

• Flat files

• REST/SOAP services

• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or middleware

• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting using SQL.

• Support upgrades, patches, and data migrations.

• Work with Unix/Linux scripts for job execution and monitoring.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Retail RMS.

• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, SQL.

• Good understanding of retail merchandising lifecycle.

• Experience in production support and incident management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with business users and technical teams.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with other Oracle Retail modules (ReSA, RPM, SIM, RWMS).

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

• Experience in retail implementation or rollout projects.

• ITIL or Oracle Retail certifications.
